Percy Julian Middle School Reviews

Julian, as in any school, has its problems. It has a weak and uninvolved administration and the ability its teaching staff is somewhat sundry-- there are a few phenomenal educators who are committed to their students, while others are completely incoherent. There is a wide achievement gap that unfortunately was only being shortened from the top down at my time there. Now, they are implementing new programs to address the issues of both the gifted and the needy. If you have a little bit of luck and are willing to work to stay on track, a solid education is available for the taking.

this school is great it good teachers especially ms.brown she the greatest

I used to go to this school. There were very few good teachers, the administators could have been better and more involved. The administators also could have tryed to make the teachers do a better job. They had some great art and theater programs but otherwise it needed a lot of improvement.

My son is finishing his last of three years (6 - 8). This education is good but not great. Coming from the strongest elementary schhol in town the education seems to be dummied down in order to accomodate kids from the other schools. Most of the teachers try to stimulate the kids and make learning interesting; however, its some teachers shouldn't be teaching. Administration is good and the raport among the staff is good. The student population for the most part is goods. Most kids do well in their classes and there are not many serious discipline incidents.
