Lexington Elementary School Reviews

I feel that some of the teachers are just in it for the paycheck. my daughter is just getting by becasuse they are letting her.

I have 3 children that attend this school. Now we moved in from a city school where as there grades were not good at all. Now all 3 of my children are honor roll students. they have taught them so much in this school than in the city schools.

Lexington School is currently on academic probation and our children are not obtaining the education that they deserved. Due to other major issues within the school and the district the teaching staff has grown weary of teaching our children in this community. The Maywood community is a minority community with an increase in crime over the past 5 years; however, our school system shoul not be a reflection of the community. Our first priority in the educational system should be to our children, giving them the excellent education they deserve in order to succeed in this society today. Sometimes I wonder what ever happened to 'Education is the key to success'. I have gotten angry with the District 89 and joined the Lexington school PTA but that even fail through due to the issues within the school.I have debated about leaving the community and now I don't know what to do to help.
