Maine South High School Reviews

With Maine South being the 14th best school in all the public schools of Illinois, I'd say this is a pretty good school. I'm proud to be sending my daughter to this school. She's doing great too!

I am a graduate of MSHS and can honestly say that I could not have wished for anything more from my high school experience. The quality of the resources, teachers, and opportunities at Maine South are unparalleled. There really is an extracurricular for everyone. The teachers are excellent and create a great environment. I loved this school and would recommend it to anyone looking for a competitive high school and excellent preparation for college.

There are many extracurricular activities students can join, it's a good way to elp them meet new peoplw

Kids from Maine South have nice cars, trendy clothes and cash, plenty of cash. The Maine South is perhaps one of the best public high schools in the area if you look at the scores. However, it seems that the school prefers not to face the overhelming drug problem. This school needs serious help from police and board of education.

this is a high quality school that could still be improved. teacher quality is uneven. wide variety of extracurricular activities and fairly good selection of AP courses

Excellent school, reason for moving to the area.

Wow...What a GREAT school! This school truly is amazing. It scores in the top percentage in the country, has great kids and teachers, has tons of funding, and every after-school program you can think of, and has one of the best football programs in the country. My son went to Maine South, and he just graduated in June of '05. He absolutely loved this school. It's in a great community, where the parents are involved in the school just as much as the teachers are. Thanks to Maine South, my son was a straight A student, and he will be attending UCLA in the fall. Maine South is definitely the way to go. GO HAWKS!

This is a GREAT school. It has lots of funding, great sports, great academics, and great kids. As a student I can easily say that Maine South is the best learning experience you can get!

An outstanding school with committed staff, quality leadership and supportive community. Maine South has a long tradition of excellence in and outside of the classroom. It's academic programming is second to none for preparing its students for their post-secondary endevors. Further, Maine South's extra-curricular programs excell at all levels. Both athletic and non-athletic programs compete and find success at the highest levels. Every student counts at Maine South as each staff members see that the individual is the the most important asset to the school. Their investment in time with each student pays dividends later when each is challenged with life's barriers. As a parent in the community, I am proud to have such a tremendous high school educating our young adults.
