East Leyden High School Reviews

The level is low....But noting special at all.

Trying to maintain high standards but with a high ESL program it is difficult. Extracurricular activities are many and vaired. Anything a highschool aged person could be interested in is offered...from sports to chess clubs. Something for all ethnic groups too. Parental involvement is always welcome

East Leyden High School is an average school. Recently, there have been changes in the teaching staff as many of the older teachers have retired. Their test scores compared to other area high schools are lower and they do not focus the child on obtaining a college education.

Great after school activities. Many good classes and an excellent technology department.

You have taken a lot of time to get the parents involved in activities and whats going on with their children, It is wonderful.

My son was attending this school for two years(2000-2002).It was the best school any of my children was ever going to. Great teachers, and principle. Maybe parents should be more involved in activities in school and progress.
