Sheridan Elementary Math & Science Academy Reviews

My daughter is just entering 5th grade, and this a our first year at Sheridan Academy. I am pleased with her teacher, who is new to the school, but pleasant and knows how to administer disciplinary policies in a way that does not decimate the children's self-esteem. The administration made us feel welcome and we are quite pleased with the positive learning environment and everything we have experienced thus far.

This is my son's 1st year at Mark Sheridan, I am very happy with his progress. Kindergarten expectations are high and the students are challenged. The class sizes are large but the teachers manages them well; the children are split into groups to make learning more managable. the children also have drama class, gym 2 a week, computer class and science lab, my son loves going to school! Ms. Woo is a great and responsive K teacher Ms. Williams

This year marks my son's first year at Sheridan. So far, I am thoroughly impressed with the quality of education he is receiving. The class size is on the high side, but this is a common issue within many schools across the city. For the number of children in his class, I think his teacher does an excellent job. There is a strong focus on academics-kindergarten is really almost like 1st grade. There seems to be a positive connection between the principal, teachers, and parents that transcends into the classroom. Overall, I am happy and my son appears to have a good time learning.

I am very pleased with my daughter's academic excellence at this school. The teachers have been wonderful and really made an impact. They are providing the fundamentals needed for higher education. The parents are very much involved and this also contributes to the school's success. Nicole P.
