I am pleased with her teacher, who is new to the school, but pleasant and knows how to administer disciplinary policies in a way that does not decimate the children's self-esteem. Kindergarten expectations are high and the students are challenged. The class sizes are large but the teachers manages them well; the children are split into groups to make learning more managable. the children also have drama class, gym 2 a week, computer class and science lab, my son loves going to school! So far, I am thoroughly impressed with the quality of education he is receiving. The class size is on the high side, but this is a common issue within many schools across the city. For the number of children in his class, I think his teacher does an excellent job. There is a strong focus on academics-kindergarten is really almost like 1st grade. There seems to be a positive connection between the principal, teachers, and parents that transcends into the classroom.
