Brook Park Elementary School Reviews

My son is doing extremely well here. The teachers he's had have all been very accessible to us, their accelerated reading program is top notch, and the staff has responded quickly to our questions and concerns. The classroom website is updated weekly and my wife and I never feel as if we're missing anything. An excellent school and my daughter can't wait to start kindergarten next year.

We've had a lot of dropouts in communication as well. It's hard to get returned calls or emails. We have another child in RB and the difference between the 2 schools are amazing. With RB, I never have to go hunting for info. The site is always up to date. Brook Park's website doesn't even have the correct staff listed.

I haven't had massive communication with the front office, but each time it's been handled quickly and effectively. Mr. Sorensen the principal isn't perfect, but who is? I have two children in Brook Park, and so far it's been a great experience -

The new principal leaves a lot to be desired for leadership. Most emails and phone messages go without response. Communication through the school is lacking in all areas. Since half the students come from divorced homes, they need a better strategy for communication.

This school has a new principal who has been here one year. He is energetic and I like his vision. The gifted program is improving, and the school nurse is great if you have a child with medical needs. My kids are really happy here, and that is key. The bus is wild, and teasing does happen. Overall, though, it is a good place.
