Irving Elementary School Reviews

I love Irving School, but mostly I love Mr. Lane, who I heard is now retiring, Unfortunely my son can't go to Irving because we belongs to Emerson School district, which I dislike very much. I don't like some of the teaher. If you belong to Irving school district you are very lucky, its a great school.

My family moved to Berwyn within the past year and I have been very happy with my daughter's progress at Irving School. I feel as though my family was welcomed into the community by Mr. Lane, Mrs. O'Conner and the rest of the staff at Irving. They helped to make my daughter's transition a painless experience. Whenever I have had questions or had to communicate with anyone on the staff they have been extremely helpful. I am glad that my daughter is going to this school. So far it has been a wonderful experience.

I do believe that Irving School is the best school in the World! The teacher go out of their way to teach the children before, during and after school. The PTA parents make it a point to become and stay involved in their children's curriculum and always make themselves available for teacher's needs. The principal of the school, Mr. Lane is down to earth and realizes the importance of good behavior, communication and good grades. He is a person who cares. The personnel at the school is always willing to help and answer questions as always very courteous. If I had the chance once again, I would return to this school with my children, but they have moved on to higher education. Good Job Irving!

We love Irving School! The teachers and administrators are fabulous. My son is getting a top notch education! Also, there is a great PTA with a lot of parent involvment, which I believe helps to make the school as great as it is!

Irving School is definitely the best school in Berwyn, and I am extremely impressed and happy with the quality staff. There is a lot of parent involvement and this school is on the right track. I would definitely recommend this school to other parents.

principle is excellent - knows all the students by first name basis. Very active PTA. Picked as one of the top 'Best Practiced' schools in 2005. Teachers care alot and are always available via email and inperson meetings. Very happy with Irving

I've been an Irving parent for 8yrs now and by far Irving is the best school in Dist 100! I take pride and comfort knowing my children have had the best Principle, teachers and staff members. With recent events hovering a dark cloud over Dist. 100, I would like everyone who reads this to know that the Irving staff and factuality is beaming with sunshine. They deserve a round of applause from everyone, I give my thanks. Irving is truly the reason why our family has not moved. As for Dist. 100 out kids need a sports program, lets work together!

My son was at Irving for 2 years. I consider Irving one of the better elementary schools in Berwyn. Unfortunately, we moved and he now attends Pershing. Pershing is also a good school, but I prefer Irving overall. Irving has a wonderful principal and staff. I highly recommend this school. Although my sons kindergarten teacher should of retired a few years earlier than she actually did. She didn't have the patience for small children.

The Principal of Irving School is a very dedicated man. He is very involved in his school and takes time out of his personal life to recruit new highly motivated teachers. However his involvement in the schools PTA seem to be controlling. There are times when the members of the PTA wonder who is in charge, the PTA president or the principal.
