St. Casimir School Reviews

We won the Blue Ribbon Award! St. Casimir School in Hammond, IN is a great school! We have great a good principal & great teachers who put real effort in teaching!

Saint Casimir School recieved the No Child Left Behind National Blue Ribbon Award by The Department of Education the highest award a school can recieve.

I am a parent of a 4th grader. My child has been at St. Caismirs since Kindergarden and the school along with the teachers and current principal, have just mad ethe most wonderful changes with the school. A couple of years ago the school was talking about not opening their doors because enrollment had dropped tremendously, thank God for Mr. McCabe. Enrollment has risen and my child can stay in a private school.

One of the Best schools in the area.

I am a parent and alumni of St Cas and have 2 graduates of St Cas. I would highly recommend this school my two sons who have graduated have gone on to high school to do amazing things they are in advanced classes and have turned out to be wonderful individuals. The first review was from our former administration the current one is outstanding. A top rate school with I-Step scores of 90.4 passing. It is a wonderful school

I would recommend St Cas to anyone who wants their child to get the best education. The only issues I have with the school is that their is not enough parental involvement. So much more could be done if more parents would get involved! The athletic department is doing a lot to get more students and their parents involved in sports. The music teacher has done a great job with the children. I recently attended one of the best Spring Musicals since my children started going to St Cas! Great Job everyone!

My son has been enrolled at St Casimir since Aug 2005. He started in Pre K 3 and is now in Kindergarten. The educational development that my son has shown in just 2 years has blown me away. In Pre K he learned from Mrs. Mendez, how to count to 300 by tens, how to count to one hundred, know all his alphabet and recognize them all, know all his colors, know all the major shapes, to write his full name, and know his address and phone number. As well as learn the Our father, and the Hail Mary. Mrs. Sims has taught my son in his kindergarten class how to start writing sentences , how to start adding and subtracting , as well as learn prayers such as The Glory Be, Grace, and Hail Holy Queen. And that is just in 3 months I can only imagine what he will learn by the end of the year. I am grateful to the dictated teachers, our new principal, Father Leo, and Father Bill for all the hard work that they do to make St Casimir the wonderful school that it is.

My son has been in the pre-k program since September and he has improved all of his skills tremendously. He was in a pre-k program in Chicago and I was disappointed to say the least. I would recommend St. Cas to anybody looking for a good quality education in Indiana. The entire staff is great and we are all treated with respect, dignity and appreciation for sending our children to that school. The new principal is great. To Miss Mendez- thank you for being such a wonderful teacher!

Poor Leadership with the Principal. Lack of respect for the student and the parents. Never owns up to her mistakes.
