Chicago Grammar School Reviews

What is great about this school is that parents receive daily summaries on their children's activities, conversations, and photos of their children learning or playing. The art teacher Oscar is the real gem of this school. However, the school does not have its own building or playground. The classrooms are tiny and a little messy/disorganized. They charge almost as much as more established schools like Latin and Francis Parker. And the morning school hours are not flexible enough to accommodate working mothers and fathers.

The full circle level of learning at CGS is amazing, the reading pared with art and culture is something to experience! You just do not find this level of teaching everywhere. It is quickly apparent just how much planning and experience has gone into this curriculum. Phil Jackson's talents and passion for teaching are a hidden treasure- hopefully to stay only here for a long time to come. The art and computing teachings surpass any program out there! CGS is a quiet hidden treasure, for now. To be a part of it has to be the greatest thing you could do for your child's education.
