St. Leonard School Reviews

This is our second year at St. Leonard. I have a 5th grader and a 1st grader and I am just so happy with St. Leonard. As I think back I regret not getting my 5th grader into the school sooner. The teachers and staff are fabulous. I feel so comfortable when I leave my children in the morning, knowing they are in excellent hands and in a great environment. Although, we were new to the school and parish, we were immediately welcomed. They offer so many extracirricular activities that keep the kids actively involved during and after school. I am extremely happy.

I have been a St. Leonard Parent for 10 years. I have one daughter that has gradualted and one that will graduate this year. It has been a great experiance. They have plenty of extracurricular activities, sports, scouting student council and all of it is of no cost to the students. St. Leonards has been part of my family it is a Fabooulos Place

I am a parent and I was trying to set up a class for children about water safety and the person just did not want to knwo about anything very rude and not looking forthe safety in their children, next year for sure I am transferring my child from saint leonard

Our daughter attended St Leonard from preschool until the 3rd grade. It is a great school, but the tuition rates are outrageous. Their 'rules' for attending church regularly are ridiculous. You have to fill out a form to prove you were there or they will raise your rates. Made us look differently at the catholic religion. I'm glad we are no longer parishoners there and are at another school in Berwyn.

I am a parent of 2nd grader @ St. Leonard, and could not be happier with the choice to send my daughter there. I was a bit dissapointed that the prek 3 program will not be available for the coming school year, so my other daughter will jsut have to wait till 2009 to get the benefits of a St. leonard education. The entire enviromsnet there is very welcoming and family oriented. We could not be happier with our choice. Highly recommended!

I am a parent of a child who is a 4th grader at St. Leonard. I could not be happier that my husband and I chose St. Leonard's for our daughter's education. The class size is small and this means more one on one time with each child; this was very important to us! No over crowding and mass chaos that our child has to face on a daily basis. The academics that the school teaches is by far better than the other schools in the area. We are so looking forward to sending our son to St. Leonard next year!

I am not a parent but an alumn of St. Leonard School. I believe it is an amazing grammar school. St. Leonard really prepared me for high school especially with the Algebra and English courses. The teachers are dedicated and for the most part love doing their job. Academically, St. Leonard is up to par. Extracurricular acitivities are fine with some sports and student council. An improvement would be to add more clubs. The level of parent involvement is pretty high. I remember seeing many parents involved in field trips, etc. Overall, I believe St. Leonard is a great school that taught me many lessons for high school as well as important lessons for life.

This is a good school, but not enough extra curricular activities or sports available.

I currently have one chile enrolled at St. Leonard. I can honestly say that St. Leonard School has some minor flaws but the staff makes up for this. My son was reading in Kindergarten & learning basic multiplication in 2nd grade. Like all schools St. Leonard needs a little updating but overall I couldn't ask for more in a school. Academically I am pleased & feel very blessed with the great teachers my son has had and will soon have. I am also blessed with all the wonderful parents that volunteer at the school. As a full time working mother I feel at ease because I know that my son is being looked after by great mothers at lunch time, recess, and even on field trips. Even if I moved elsewhere I would still travel & let my child finish his time at St. Leonard.

I have two children presently at St. Leonard. We are a very proud school in that we take pride in our children. The curriculum is unbeatable, with an outstanding English and Math program. The high school alegebra they receive in 8th grade is unbeatable. The christian value is strong not only in school, as church as well. The children come out with not only the best education, they come out of this school being the best people they can, with the best values instilled from within family and school. I believe St. Leonard is the best place to send your child.

We presently have two children at St. Leonard and are very pleased with the quality of education. There are many families involved working together with the priests and teachers to make our school a source of pride to the community. Practicing our faith by being active in our church and school give us a strong sense of family, community, sharing, comfort and pride. The cost of sending your children to any faith based school can be a challange but the price of not feeling you are giving them the best educational experience possible can not be measured. St. Leonard graduates continually show up in their High School honors programs which often times creates the opportunity for a full scholarship to college.

St. Leonard is a wonderful school that emphasizes academic excellence and Christian values. Visit www.st.leonard.org.
