St. Francis Borgia School Reviews

I have 3 children attending SFB. My husband and I are extremely happy with the education they are receiving. Our children feel secure. The teachers have been great and are very approachable. SFB offers a variety of extracurricular programs (sports, band, choir, scouting, etc). I would like to see more parent involvement. It seems as though its always the same dedicated parents and grandparents giving of their time (BIG thank you to them!). The majority of the families at SFB are wonderful. We have made some great friends through the school and parish.

Overall I had a great experience with this School. Teachers are great, so far I havent seen or experience anything that I dont like.

I have 2 children attending SFB and have been there since Pre-K. So far, we have been blessed to have wonderful teachers. Both are in the music program and my son is involved in sports. My only complaint would be that the pastor(s) and principal do not attend school functions (outside of the school day). I think it would be nice to show support for the music and athletic programs if they attended the recitals and some football, basketball, volleyball games. Other than that, we are very pleased with the overall quality of the school and especially the involvement of other SFB parents. Along with the everyday religious traditions, it's a great school that instills family values as well.

GREAT SCHOOL everything is great music, art, sports and lots of other things.

Teachers are good. Administration is poor at best. Paster does not get involved with the children. Principal makes decisions based on her own fears. Administration asks for support for parents for activities but does not show support and any sporting events. Example of this is the 06 Varsity football team recently won their conference. Principal and Pastor, not only where not at any games but not even at the Conference Championship game. Rarely do you see them at any school based sporting events.

I have been involved with St. Francis Borgia since the 1960's. The leadership and discipline has declined, more recently the last few years. If it was not for the good teachers, I would be transferring my child to a different school.

The academic programs are average, but the availability of music, art, and sports are above average for private schools of this size. Parents seem to have a high level of involvement here. The school community has had a reputation of being very strong and united, however in the past few years I feel there has been a decline in leadership among the administration.

My son in enrolled in their Pre-K4 program and he loves it! The teacher and her aide work miracles with the children and he is registered to attend their Kindergarten program in the fall. I am alumni, graduated in 1974 and I am happy to see that the 'pride & spirit' is still alive at SFB!

I have 2 children at St. Francis Borgia school and have been very pleased with my children's education. The teachers my children have had so far (8 years overall) have been very dedicated to making sure the kids succeed at learning. The Principal and Assistance Principal are always accessible for questions or quick comments from parents. Speaking of the parents, there are many, many families whom I could trust to pick up my kids if I were running late in picking them up after school. Although I don't use the Extended Day Program (EDP) for my kids, I understand the hours are great and cost very reasonable. They even have a drop off plan when it's icy (or extremely snowy) where you drive up to the back doors and 2 teachers are unloading the kids from your car; we love that door to door service. Overall, we're very pleased with SFB.

I have one child at SFB in fourth grade. She has excelled at SFB since starting in pre-K. So far the academics have been above average and through parent friendships have heard that continues to be the case for all grades. In addition to the normal class schedule there is also music, computer, library and a monthly art class to acquaint the children with famous artists works. There are numerous extracurricular activities as well. My child is involved in Scouts & Choir. SFB has excellent summer programs: sports camp, drama, arts and crafts, etc. There is also before and after school care along with a hot meal program. Parents are pretty involved and easy to get along with. Our years here have been very positive.

I am a former student from St. Francis Borgia and I think this school has a great learning program for children. There aren't enough sports at this school though. Yes, there are your basic sports such as football, cheerleading, basketball, and volleyball, but what about the soccer and baseball fans. We would like to play these sports and not have to go find a team to be on. As for the teachers, they were, for the most part, a huge part of my life long learning experience. If I had a question, they would answer it or at least find an answer. Most of them were pleasant and others just wanted to get a point across.

I am a parent of 3 currently attending this school. All of my children, especially my oldest 2, love this school and when we were considering moving out of the area, refused to leave. The teachers are exeptional, and they clearly are dedicated to there job. Through all of the grades there isnt one teacher that i disliked. The parents and school have formed a comunity and it's easy to make freinds wether you are a child or parent. The extracurricular activities keep my children involved with every aspect of the school, not only sports. Our school is also safe and disiplined, and I've noticed our school has some of the brightest chilren I've seen. If I had the choice to start all over again I would still send them to Borgia.

I am very active in the school and think we have a strong family atmosphere. As with any school the more you give the more you get. The teachers are wonderful and if whats important to you is a good Catholic Education this is the school for your family.

I have 3 children and have been involved at SFB for a number of years. I have found that it's a positive situation to be involved in your children's school both for the children and the parents. I have made many friendships through my involvement at SFB.

I have been involved in this school for many years. We have seen some changes to the Parish, but I feel the school community is strong and is thriving thanks to our Principal, Teachers, Students and the active families.

It is a terrible school that is run by all clicks. The parents are pushy and self involved ,but the only reason i send my kid there is for the catholic education.
