The school is more about appearance than education.The teachers and the principal put up a front for new parents, like it such a good school with loving staff and a good curriculum .” Posted By: parent Quality Score: 4 2006-08-10 “I think for the price you pay that this was good school. They could really use a play ground and I didn't feel that they offered enough field trips for the younger grades but the curriculum is solid and there is a lot of parental envolvement. The disciplinary action is great as it allows children to act in a becoming manner. There are several good after school events and the school accomodates the community in which it resides. Over time (2 yrs) I realize that St. Ethelreda is a sham school. They seek to keep funding coming but are less concerned with the educative process. I attempted to meet with the principal and teachers with no success. In fact the principal avoided me and never returned calls (over 20, I logged them)! My child was visibly behind in math and reading and I wanted to check on avenues that would build him up. In meeting with his current teacher, I was rudely informed that he'd be hald back. Now for 10 weeks I received no contact on his status and was ignored when I attempted to meet about it. Theres more but I am running out of space for this field. He has learned quite a bit. I a especially pleased with the Christian aspect of the school. Having Christ in your life does make a difference and my son is learning how and why we praise God.”
