St. Jerome Reviews

St. Jerome School is a great place. Small classess, great staff and a great community.

No sense of true Catholic community or charity if you're not part of some esoteric parental clique. Not very welcoming at all.

Reviews given by people that like to bash but don't have the courage to sign their name should be taken with a grain of salt! Pauline Dengler

The principal is very hands on and focused on staff development. Recently added computer lab is a step in the right direction. The teachers are very involved with their students. Staff is a good mix of age and experience. Parent involvement in the lower grades is high, but seems to decline as students get older. There are a variety of team sports offered, as well as a few academic events. St Jerome is a good value and still small enough to provide the extra attention some students may need. There is on-site tutoring and counseling available.

Wonderful extracurricular activities, great, caring staff, an awesome education. The only problems I see are a HUGE influence on religion (its a bit overwhelming) and there is some favoring of families, but not much. I did not enjoy the pre-school teachers, I found them catty and immature. But the rest of the school is a joy. They have odyssey of the minds, language programs, sports, plus all of the core classes. The kids go on field trips, do experiments, there is a great sense of community and belonging. The kids are very safe and loved, parents are encouraged to participate and become involved.

Great community! Caring teachers and parents, and they value your input. I had been overall pleased with this school until my child reached the fourth grade. I was shocked to find out the things that were said and done in his class! The school and church otherwise is a great place for children!

This school is run by the teachers and not by the principal. The rumor mill is contantly going. Everyone is in everybody elses business. Would not recommend.

This school does not have the equipment or the resources they have for students with slow problems. I feel that some parents stick their noses where they shouldn't be. I feel that the parents should let their child learn how to have responsibility. It seems that its everyone's business to know what your child is doing. As for the teachers, I think there needs to be some professionalism. Teachers talk behind eachothers backs and some are very old fashioned with worksheet after worksheet. Its a small school with an avg. of 25 students, which nice. Overall, its an average school
