Harwood Heights clerk Dianne Larson dies
Purple bunting was draped over the entrance at Harwood Heights Village Hall and flags were lowered to half staff this weekend, in memory of Village Clerk Dianne H. Larson, who died Oct. 24 after a prolonged battle with cancer. She was 72 years old. More

Angel trees help match gifts to needy children
The Salvation Army's Norridge Citadel Corps is hoping for a little help from its friends for needy area children. Residents can take tags from angel trees they'll find at area companies and in corporate lobbies. The trees are decorated with paper angels. Each angel wears the gift wish for toys or clothing of a needy child in the area, along with the child's age and gender. More
