Ice Skating 2009 Kickoff Celebration
WHAT: Ice-Skating in Downtown Chicago WHEN: Saturday, November 21, 2009 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM, snacks/coffee after WHERE: Millenium Park - McCormick Tribune Ice Rink MILLENIUM PARK http://photos4.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/1/a/a/0/600_10746816.jpeg Kicking off ChicagoÃÂ's winter season, the McCormick Tribune Ice Rink in Millennium Park will open on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 and will remain open through Sunday, March 14, 2010, weather permitting. The rink, now in its ninth season and drawing more than 100,000 skaters annually, is free and open to the public. The ice rink is located on Michigan Avenue between Washington and Madison Streets. Ice skating in Chicago's Millennium Park ranks among the best outings of the winter season. Enjoy the great outdoors, piped-in music, and the festive atmosphere. COST Skate rental is available for $10. DINNER After the skating event, we can hop over to the middle-east restaurant right across from Michigan Avenue and get some dinner or just walk down Michigan Avenue. Dress warm for the chilly Chicago evening. HOW TO GET THERE By CTA (subway): Get off at Madison/Wabash Street Station and walk towards the Lake By Car: Grant Park underground Public Parking is available We'll meet at the Washington & Michigan at the Chicago Cultural Center entrance.
