Rush Hour Concert Series: a time to unwind

Need to unwind after a hard day’s work? Give yourself a treat and attend one of this season’s offerings at the Rush Hour Concerts series presentations.

Held on Tuesdays — something to get you through midweek —  these 30-minute treasures at the exquisite St. James Cathedral are free to the public. The series, which runs from June through Aug. 25, is in its 10th season.

James Giles, an internationally known pianist will play works by George Gershwin and Charles Ives, with both Coval and Giles taking turns performing throughout the 30 minute concert.

This is the Poetry Foundation's www.poetryfoundation.org fourth year of collaboration with the Rush Hour series.

St James Cathedral is located at 65 E. Huron, at the corner of Michigan Avenue and Huron Street.

Now in its 10th season the series events begin with at 5:15 with pre-concert pause in which patrons can grab a beverage. Concerts begin at 5:45.
