  Golden Wok is one of those hole-in-the-wall delights of Glen Ellyn that you discover from time to time. A few decorative overhead lamps and some simple tablecloths are the extent of the decor, but don't let the simplicity convey the wrong impression. The mural of the Great Wall and the lighting fixtures could be from one of 1,000 Chinese restaurants, but that is where all comparisons end.\n\nThe Golden Wok has decided to concentrate on preparing excellent Cantonese and Mandarin food, and excellent it is. Something considerably elegant takes place in the kitchen. Golden Wok dishes are of the mild Cantonese variety, but are as good as you'll find anywhere.

    Delivery is offered in the Glen Ellyn area from noon to 8:30pm daily for $1.50 with a minimum order of $10.

    The menu features dinners for two to five. They include appetizers, several entrees and cookies at a discount. Also, a lunch buffet is offered seven days a week for $5.95 with items like pork lo mein.

  When we moved to Lombard it took a few trys to find good Chinese. After a couple of terrible Chinese restaurants we found the Golden Wok II and have never ordered out from any other Chinese place. Whenever my "chinese food buddy" comes…

  Pros: Great meals for a decent price Cons: They aren't located right next door!

  i started eating at this restaraunt about thirteen years ago, when I lived in Lombard, Il. I have NEVER stopped going there. I travel all the way from Forest Park to eat Chinese food. I can not find any other restaraunt that compares to…
