Artist Statement
My art is simply what appeals to me. I am drawn to big images with little detail and bold colors. I am inspired by building materials such as wood, steel, concrete and glass. Often I’ll throw in some elements of nature such as water and plant life. I enjoy the creative process and all though paint and canvas are my media, I consider myself more of a builder than a painter. I go into a project without a plan and obsess, building layer upon layer until it is perfect, whatever perfect maybe. A finish product to me is like an invention that did not previously exist.
