Questionable Behavior My husband and I began using Doggies to Go about three months after we adopted him. For the first three months that we had him, before we started using Steve and Laura, he was a very happy, well-adjusted puppy. But after about a month of using them as our doggy daycare, we noticed a tremendous change in his personality. All of a sudden, he was extremely scared of men; when we walked him, if a man was walking toward us, he would try to run out into the street to get away. If we were at the park and a man went to pet him, he would cower, lowering his head and running away - totally scared. When we got home from work, our dog would run to the back door, needing to go to the bathroom as if he hadn't gone all day. If he really was outside, playing at parks for hours, why would he need to go to the bathroom so badly? Also, if my husband or I were home when they came to pick him up, he would run and hide either downstairs or in our second bedroom. Steve would literally have to DRAG him out the door. This always concerned me, but when I asked Steve about it, he said that it's common for dogs to not want to go when their owners are home. I get that, but now, for the past two and a half months, we've been using another company (Love Your Pets) and he NEVER runs and hides when the owner comes to get him. He runs right up to her, wags his tail at her and goes with her without looking back. He hasn't cowered or ran away from strange men since we made the change. These people are totally unprofessional. It takes them days and repeatedly left messages to get them to return your phone calls or emails and they say that they provide boarding, but every time we aked them to watch our dog, they had some excuse. Looking back now, I wonder what they are really doing all day with these dogs and more importantly, why our dog was so scared and unwilling to go with them.

Doggies To Go is part of our family. We've been using Doggies To Go for just over 3 years. We feel Laura & Steven are part of the family. Both our dogs love going to daycare. When our dogs hear the van coming into our complex, they both run to the door and wait for Steven with tails wagging. I work from home but I still send my dogs 5 days per week because they enjoy it so much.
They both come home exhausted which is great.
When my wife and I travel we always use Doggies To Go to watch our dogs and feed our 2 kitties. I know they only take well behaved dogs to their home for boarding and we feel fortunate to have them.
When our youngest dog was diagnosed with cancer, Laura spent countless hours with my wife helping her research different treatment options. They traveled together to the University Of Illinois Vet Clinic. She helps us to this day dispense medicine when needed or drop my dog for treatment at our local vet. It takes someone with a big heart and love for dogs to spend their free time helping another dog. It’s not uncommon for her to call us in the evening, well past business hours, to check on our dogs.
I’m friends with 2 other couples currently using this service and both are extremely happy. My wife and I trust them completely. I cannot imagine anyone giving Laura or Steven a bad review. We love them!!!!!

Over a decade of outstanding care and service My dog, Bear, has been a client of this fine company since she was 13 weeks old. Now she is almost 11 years old. In that time, Laura and Steven have treated her like she is their very own. And Bear loves camp, which is what my family calls Doggies To Go because it's like day camp for dogs. I will also say that, as she enters her twilight years, Bear's excellent health is a reflection of the amount of exercise she receives with Doggies To Go. For a fee comparable to what other companies charge for a 20-minute walk, Bear gets hours of playtime with other dogs. This exercise and socialization also proved invaluable once my wife and I started having kids. At camp Bear learned to get along with hyper puppies and cranky older dogs, so when toddlers appeared in her own home she was well equipped to cope. Finally, on the subject of keeping the family safe, I cannot underscore enough Laura's and Steven's trustworthiness. When a company has a key to your home, it's reassuring to know that the same safe and reliable individuals will be the only ones with access. There are no "surprise" employees; no transients - just Laura and Steven. Where caring for our dog and keeping our home safe and secure are concerned, Doggies To Go provides tremendous peace of mind. I couldn't imagine using another dog walking service.
