Quite peaceful ambience for salon and spa needs Epiphany Salon and Spa is quite a southside hidden jewel and has a peaceful ambience in earth tones even though it is on the major throughfare of Stony Island. Call before coming even though a walk-in was fitted in between customers during the late morning. Signs are displayed to remind you to silence your cellphones due to patrons receiving spa services. You are warmly greeted by a receptonist and asked to complete a form as it relates to personal health and adverse affects pertaining to former salon and spa treatments/experiences. I only received the salon service of a relaxer for $65.00. The stylist, Mekalah was about the business of hair and was knowledgeable about hair trauma as she applied the relaxer. Mekalah gently rinsed, massaged shampoo and fragrant conditioner onto the hair, blew dry, cut and curled my hair with whispers of holding spray and sheen as I nodded in and out of consciousness. I woke up to gorgeously styled hair. Major credit cards are accepted, however tips can only be given in cash. Parking is not a premium, but the METRA South Chicago Stony Island stop and CTA #28 Stony Island bus stop at 71st Street is literally steps away from Epiphany Salon and Spa's door.
