Not recommdended. At least my experience with Chicago apartment finders was really bad. The agent that I had was terrible. Didn't know what she's doing. She made us wait for more than 40 mins because she didn't get the right key for an apartment that we were supposed to look at. And I applied to one apartment, but I didn't get it because somebody else already applied to it. They said that person applied to it first, but I don't buy it. I talked to the apt directly right before I applied to it with Chicagoaptfinders. Yes, it was avaiable when I applied to it. The problem was I found that out more than one day after I applied. The agent didn't call me and telling me what happened. Didn't know what to do later. Full of horrible experience. So I had to find the place by myself. On the other hand, I experience apartmentpeople the same service as Chicago apartment finders. There, even though I didn't get an apartement through them, they were really experienced and professional. Even they checked on me later if I found a place or not. Even though I told them I already found a place, they still tried to contact with me and did a follow up. However, chicago apt finders didn't care and even when I called for my money refund ( I haven't received the money back that I paid for applying an apartement, they took the money cashed out before they know I get the apt or not. I didn't get it, but still they took the money) and, that agent didn't call me back. Horrible horrible. I am still trying to make a complaint about that agent and get my money back. horrible Chicagoapt finders.

I used this service when my company referred me to them. I can now see why a company as large as mine works with a company like this. My agent met me at their Gold Coast office and drove me around to the different neighborhoods and showed me apartments. I loved that the had the Director of Corporate Relocation contact me personally to introduce the service to me. I rented a great apartment and my agent assisted me with finding a furniuture rental company until my furniture arrived from over seas. The parking situation was tough, I wish they had a free parking lot for customers, but I was able to find a meter. Would definetly recomend them to anyone looking for an easy way to find a great place to live.

With a very limited set of apartments available, Chicago Apartment Finders will pressure you into quickly placing a deposit (one month's rent) on an apartment (which is the equivalent of paying Chicago Apartment Finders their fee.) Then when you find out more information about the apartment and the street that CAF did not tell you, they will refuse to refund one cent of your deposit, even if you call back the same day. The are not interested in customer service, they are only interested in getting your money as quickly as possible and then leaving you with no apartment and ~$1000 poorer.
